What's your best grief-releasing pathway?
New grief self-quiz & helpful resources starting this month
How can I better help people struggling to rebuild their lives after the death of a beloved other?
What have I learned from working with my clients & readers about what they need to get ‘unstuck’ and find their way back into a life that makes sense and includes joy again?
These are the questions I’ve been exploring over the summer.
Happy almost-autumn. Perhaps you noticed, or not, that I’ve been on a publishing hiatus. I even paused inviting new clients into my programs the last few months to take a step back, recalibrate, and see how I can deepen the life-healing impact of my offerings.
The biggest ‘a-ha’ was realizing that I’d been evolving a new approach for transcending grief and reimagining life after loss that I wasn’t explaining directly. I wasn’t even naming it in my work as a mentor and trusted advisor to the clients I’ve come to care deeply about.
Answering those questions above turned me into a creative whirlwind—distilling, developing, and designing new, mind-opening resources for navigating the journey with loss.
The first step? New concepts, just like new little humans, need a name. So my approach is The Grief-Releasing Pathways Process.
It grew out of a realization that there are four grief-releasing pathways that almost all grieving people experience, though there’s often one pathway where people can get stuck. Ironically, the obstacle is the way forward (to borrow a phase from writer Ryan Holiday and his muse, Marcus Aurelius).
It helps to know which pathway seems to offer not only the biggest hurdle, but also the greatest potential for healing.
I’ve tagged the four pathways that comprise the Grief-Releasing Pathways Process as: the Earth Pathway, Water Pathway, Fire Pathway, and Air Pathway (yes, of course, my natural-history, metaphor-loving mind has anchored them in the four, classical elements of life).
Drawing from this pathways process, I now have some free resources that I’m offering, beginning this month, with more planned for 2024. I’ve also enhanced my signature Inviting Joy Into Grief 12-week program to add more personalized support and life-transforming impact for the clients joining the program as it relaunches this fall.
I’ll be sharing more in the weeks ahead. I’ll also be returning to a more regular PoetOwl e-Journal publishing schedule ;-)
In the meantime, I want to introduce the Grief-Releasing Pathways Process by inviting you take a new, video-oriented self-quiz.
Note: After taking the self-quiz, you’ll unlock additional resources about your specific Grief-Releasing Pathway as well as all four pathways. You’ll also receive a special invitation.
I’d love to know what you think about your Grief-Releasing Pathway. After trying the self-quiz, please come back and share your thoughts by clicking the Comment button below.
