I got my POW/MIA bracelet almost 30 years ago. As with every past Christmas, I have thought about the name on my bracelet. Today (2 days before Christmas 2023), I came across this post. My bracelet bears the name of Terence H. Hanley. I, too, have had similar thoughts. Found little about him. This year is the first year that I have added a memorial ornament to my tree with his picture on it. No matter where he is, he will celebrate Christmas with me. I also love your words about ‘your soldier’ being half part of the ocean. A friend of mine went missing from their sailboat off the coast of Africa a few years ago and this is how I will always think of her now.
